1. Introduction

Welcome to Authox.

Intelligent Technologies SARL, operates Authox ("Authox", "we", "us", or "our"), a web-based platform that enables users to upload, process, store, analyze, and export serial number data and related documentation (the "Service").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Authox platform, including all related features, functionality, and services.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

Authox is a technical processing and data management platform.

The Service allows users to:

• Upload serial number files
• Store serial number files
• Detect previously uploaded serial number
• Retrieve VAT validation responses from third-party systems (e.g., VIES)
• Send serial exports via automated email functionality

Authox does not:

• Provide legal, tax, financial, or compliance advice
• Validate the commercial authenticity of goods
• Confirm ownership of serial numbers
• Guarantee the accuracy of third-party databases
• Make regulatory determinations on behalf of users

Authox acts solely as a processing tool.

3. VAT Validation Disclaimer

Authox may integrate with third-party VAT validation systems, including the European Commission's VIES API.

Authox does not validate VAT numbers independently.

The Service retrieves and records the response provided by the relevant VAT validation system at the specific moment the request is made.

Authox:

• Does not control the VIES system
• Does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued validity of any VAT number
• Does not assume responsibility for the results of the VAT validation
• Does not assume responsibility for tax compliance decisions

Users remain solely responsible for:

• Independently verifying VAT numbers
• Assessing tax risks
• Complying with applicable VAT and tax regulations

Any reliance on VAT validation responses retrieved via the Service is at the user's own risk.

4. Serial Number Storage & Duplicate Detection

Authox allows users to store serial numbers and related data within the platform.

When serial numbers are uploaded, Authox may notify users if:

• A serial number has previously been uploaded to the user's account database
• A duplicate is detected within uploaded files

Duplicate notifications are informational only.

Authox assumes no liability for any action or inaction taken by users based on duplicate detection results.

All commercial, legal, and compliance decisions remain the sole responsibility of the user.

5. User Responsibility for Data

Users are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of uploaded data
• The legality of uploaded serial numbers
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Obtaining proper authorization to process and share serial data

Authox does not verify the correctness of uploaded content.

6. Automated Email Sending

The Service may allow users to send serial exports via automated email functionality.

Authox:

• Acts as a technical transmission platform
• Does not verify recipient accuracy
• Does not assume responsibility for the content of user-generated exports

Users remain responsible for ensuring that shared serial data is lawfully transmitted and appropriate for the recipient.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Authox is offered on a subscription basis.

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the selected plan.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled prior to renewal.

Authox reserves the right to modify subscription fees upon reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after a fee change constitutes acceptance.

Unless required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service:

• In violation of any applicable law
• To process stolen or unlawfully obtained data
• To attempt unauthorized access to the Service
• To interfere with platform security or infrastructure
• To reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or violation of these Terms without notice.

9. Accounts

Users must be at least eighteen (18) years old.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.

10. Intellectual Property

Authox and all related software, branding, design, and platform features remain the exclusive property of Authox and its licensors.

Users receive a limited, non-transferable license to access and use the Service during an active subscription.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Authox shall not be liable for:

• Commercial losses
• Lost profits
• Tax penalties
• Regulatory investigations
• Business interruption
• Data inaccuracies provided by users or third parties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Authox does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Authox from any claims, damages, penalties, or liabilities arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your uploaded data
• Your compliance decisions
• Your transmission of serial information

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the amended terms on this site. It is the User's responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
